Tonight’s Question: A Daily Conversation Question for Couples

Tonight’s Question gives you and your husband one question a day to talk about together. The questions are about everyday life at home. Some are playful and some are more personal.

It is free and needs no sign-up. You can talk the question over, or pass the phone and each type a private answer.

How Tonight’s Question works

A new question each day. The question changes at midnight on your own device. If you would like a different one, tap “Show a different question.” There are 100 questions, and they begin again after the last one.

Talk it over. Read the question together and see where the conversation goes. There is no right answer and nothing to complete.

Pass the phone. Each of you types an answer, one after the other. The first answer stays hidden while the second is typed, and then you read both side by side. The answers are not saved or sent anywhere, and they disappear when you leave the page.

Share it. You can text or email the question, copy a link, or make a picture of the question to save or post. The “Share that we talked” button shares only the question number, so no answers or questions are given away.

Remember to talk. Choose an evening time and the tool makes a calendar file that adds a daily reminder. Open the file and your calendar app will offer to add it.

Questions about Tonight’s Question

Is it free?

Yes. There is no account to make and no email address to give.

Do you keep our answers?

No. Answers stay on your device while you use the page and are gone when you leave it. Nothing is sent to us.

Can we use it if we do not have children?

Yes. Uncheck “We have children at home” and the questions about children are left out. The tool remembers your choice on your own device only.

Do we both need to be in the same room?

The tool is made for two people sitting together, because the answers are read aloud and talked over. If one of you is away, you can text or email the question and talk about it when you are together.

Is this marriage counseling?

No. It is a way to start a conversation. If your marriage is in a hard place, please talk with your pastor or a biblical counselor.
