Hello, I’m Regina — a wife, a mom, and a homemaker learning (sometimes stumbling!) my way through building a Christ-centered home.

My journey didn’t begin with expertise or confidence.
It began with a desire — a quiet, persistent one — to grow.

To grow as a homemaker, as a wife, as a mother… and most of all, as a woman shaped by God’s Word.

I started The Focused Homemaker because I wanted to become more intentional in the very work God placed right in front of me:
my home, my husband, my children, and my daily calling.

At first, I created resources for myself and for my family:

  • tools to disciple my kids,

  • guides to strengthen my marriage,

  • printables to build character, habits, and routines in our home,

  • notes I hoped my children would treasure long after they’re grown,

  • reminders my own heart needed on overwhelming days.

But as I shared them, I realized I wasn’t alone.

Other women were walking the same path of learning, repenting, growing, and longing to build homes that reflect Christ.

So this little space grew into something more:
a place to share what I’m learning and to encourage other families in the same journey.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for reading my story and inviting me into a small corner of your home and heart.

I’m grateful for every woman who stops by — whether you came for a printable, encouragement, or just a reminder that you’re not alone.

By God’s grace, we’re learning and growing together.
And I’m honored to walk with you as we build homes for His glory.

About Me
What I Belive

My heart and my work are shaped by deep theological convictions.

I am a Reformed Baptist, holding joyfully to:

  • The Bible

  • The 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith, and

  • The Five Points of Calvinism.

These truths shape everything I create here:

  • The Bible as the final authority

  • Christ as the center of the home and life

  • Salvation by grace alone

  • God’s sovereignty over every season

  • Discipleship beginning in the home

Whether I’m sharing a printable, challenge, or guide, it all flows from these convictions and the hope found in Christ alone.

My Mission

I want The Focused Homemaker to be a place where you find resources that are:

  • biblical

  • practical

  • beautiful

  • easy to use

  • and truly helpful for your home

My mission is simple:
to help Christian families build homes grounded in truth, shaped by grace, and filled with purpose.

I’m growing right alongside you, learning how to love well, serve faithfully, and steward the gift of home with intention.

My Homemaking Journey:
From Housekeeping to Homemaking

When I began homemaking, I truly believed it was the same as housekeeping.

If I kept the home clean, cooked every meal, and stayed organized, I assumed that meant I was doing well.

But every unfinished task felt like a failure.
A messy room? Failure.
Dishes in the sink? Failure.
A pile of laundry? Failure.

I didn’t realize it then, but I was measuring my worth by what my home looked like—not what my home felt like.

The Turning Point That Changed My Approach

Everything shifted when I started creating content for The Focused Homemaker.

Through writing, reflecting, and seeking God’s wisdom, I discovered that:

  • Homemaking is more than chores

  • A peaceful home is more than a tidy environment

  • The heart of the home is the relationships inside it

  • Spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being all matter

I began to see that a Christ-centered home is shaped by attitudes, habits, and faith, not spotless surfaces.

What Homemaking Taught Me About Faith & Family

Homemaking revealed my own weaknesses and my deep need for God.

I learned I cannot build a holistic home on my own strength. I learned that I need:

  • God’s grace,

  • my husband’s support,

  • and my children’s help.

If someone had explained earlier that “you don’t have to be a perfect homemaker” means embracing daily imperfection with grace, I would’ve saved myself years of emotional strain. Knowing the truth is simple; living it out in the middle of messes, strained relationships, and unfinished tasks is the real challenge.

Yet those imperfections are where God does His most tender work.
